Introduction
Business analytics is the combination of skills, technologies, applications and processes used by organizations to gain insight in to their business based on data and statistics to drive business planning. Business analytics is used to evaluate organization-wide operations, and can be implemented in any department from sales to product development to customer service.
Business analytics solutions typically use use data, statistical and quantitative analysis and fact-based data to measure past performance to guide an organization's business planning.
The Business Analyst is an agent of change. Business Analysis is a disciplined approach for introducing and managing change to organizations, whether they are for-profit businesses, governments, or non-profits. As business analysts, we identify and define the solutions that will maximize the value delivered by an organization to its stakeholders. Business analysts work across all levels of an organization and may be involved in everything from defining strategy, to creating the enterprise architecture, to taking a leadership role by defining the goals and requirements for programs and projects or supporting continuous improvement in its technology and processes.
Business analytics is a fast growing field and there are many tools available in the market to serve the needs of organizations.
